The rants and raves of a teenage cinephile who is just a little bit obsessed with Catherine O'Hara and Hayao Miyazaki.

"Martha Marcy May Marlene" Trailer

I've had a wary eye on this movie ever since it started getting early buzz for actress Elizabeth Olsen (sister to Mary-Kate and Ashley), and this trailer did not disappoint. It looks like this film will have that extra punch of grittiness and unsettlingness that I wish had been more prevalent in the impossible-not-to-compare-to "Winter's Bone". John Hawkes's presence is very reassuring (he looks sufficiently creepy but lovable) and as a proponent of the elder Olsens, it should be fascinating to see what their sister does in what looks to be a very actressy vehicle.

How about you? Are you yay or nay on this Sundance drama? Comments below!

"Crazy, Stupid, Love" Trailer

The awesomeness of the cast kept causing me to flip out. Julianne, Emma, Ryan, Marisa and Steve? Really, it's perfect - especially since all the couples look like they'll have amazing chemistry (Emma and Ryan! That's so cute!) it looks like the humor might fall into the trashy/cheap laughs category, but I have a feeling that the amazing actors will make it all work. I mean, you really can't go wrong with these people. To guarantee the amazingness, the trailer features Grizzly Bear music, so, I mean, there you go.

Your thoughts? Amazing cast with a ton of potential, or trashy-derivative summer comedy? Sound off below!

"Midnight in Paris" Trailer

Hm. Strangely, I was much more excited about this movie before watching this trailer (which is kind of the opposite of the point of a trailer, right?). It seems like Woody is rehashing the same old stuff he's been doing for the past few years and unfortunately the repetitiveness is starting to get tiresome. However, I'm still definitely willing to give it the benefit of the doubt, with the amazing cast that it boasts. The trailer does, at least, give us some insight to that aspect of the movie - Rachel McAdams looks like she's going to be a blast, Marion Cotillard is looking as stunning as ever, and hey there Mimi "my teeth are bleeding" Kennedy, good to see you!

Anyway, though I'm not as enthusiastic about the movie as I was about ten minutes ago, I'm still going to be seeing it for sure. How about you all? Thoughts or reactions on the trailer? Speak up below!

AFRICAN CATS.

So the other day I went to go see "Morning Glory" (which I really, really enjoyed) with one of my bestestest friends, and one of the trailers that played before the movie was this one, for Disney Nature's upcoming Earth Day epic...

So anyway, I was already in a giggly mood. But at the beginning of the trailer, when it showed a clip from "Oceans", I was like "Ooh, what is this going to be? Deserts? MOON? UNIVERSE?" and I was expecting it to be some super dramatic one word title.

And then the announcer guy said "African Cats" and I just started laughing hysterically. I could not contain myself throughout this entire trailer. I mean, you have to admit - it's pretty funny, right?

Anyway it looks pretty good nonetheless. But I mean, come on. "African Cats"? It's hard to take a title like that seriously. Hahaha

"The Fighter" Trailer

ZOMG!!!

Thanks to InContention for the heads up!

So, okay, I can safely say that I'm pretty psyched for this. AMY ADAMS! Yeah, she's what I'm looking forward to the most, but I recently watched (and hearted) "I Heart Huckabees", another David O. and Mark W. collab, so, I have high hopes for this. Anyway...AMY ADAMSSSS. Yeah I'm excited.

I'm excited...are you?

"Black Swan" Trailer

OMG THIS IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW! So many good trailers lately! Mmmz.

I found myself smiling with satisfaction when I finished watching this trailer. This is absolutely one of my top anticipated movies of the year, and this trailer makes it look SO promising. It looks sensual, stylish, disturbing, dramatic, and with some amazing chances for killer acting. And that shot of Natalie at the end! Oooh! Gah. This needs to come out right now because it looks freaking amazing.

Are you as excited as I about Aronofsky's next outing? Speak up below!

"Love and Other Drugs" Trailer

Okay, so this is interesting. I thought from what I'd heard around the water cooler that this was going to be more of a drama? Rather than this romantic dramedy thing. On the other hand, it could just be a marketing technique. I'm still madly wanting to see this - usually a trailer like this wouldn't hook me in, but there's just something about Anne Hathaway crying and being amazing that just draws me in. Plus, Jake looks like he's going to do quite nicely. Curiosity, elevated...

This is a big awards-buzz one to keep an eye on, what are your thoughts on the first trailer?

"The Concert" Trailer

I know this is a few days (weeks? I'm so out of the loop) old, but I just saw it...so in case you're as behind as me, here you go!

So this trailer is pretty poor...it does everything trailers should NOT! Namely, give away so much plot (I hate that). Plus, it makes the movie look a bit sappy. Which it very well may be. But...

I'm REALLY excited for this movie! It looks cute enough, and I love music-themed movies, which are a bit too rare for my taste. Oh, and MELANIE-I-am-amazing-LAURENT. When I heard she would be playing a violinist in a movie I knew I had to get myself over there immediately. Plus, I hear she's getting a bit of Oscar buzz? Seems like a role they would like.

Sorry, I'm rambling! Please comment below. Are you excited or dreading this little foreign piece?

"Never Let Me Go" Trailer

I'm not quite sure how to interpret this (I've not read the novel or the plot synopsis yet). Is it a creepy tale of a distopian boarding school? An emotionally charged period romance? A quiet character study? I'm definitely not sure what it's about. BUT, what I am sure of, is that I want to see it. Carey Mulligan looks like she's going to be lovely, and Sally Hawkins! Yea Sally Hawkins! Her presence in this trailer alone would make me want to see it. Anyway, I'm quite intrigued. Time to read the book!

What are your thoughts on "Never Let Me Go"? I know a lot of you are anticipating it...did the trailer live up to your hopes? Comment below!

"You Again" Trailer

How come I'd never heard of this movie until just now? I'm not really sure what to think though...this trailer makes it look kind of like a cheap-laughs type of comedy. Then again, cheap-laughs are still laughs, and just look at that cast! Sigourney! Jamie! Kristen! Kristen!!! And Betty White's "Twitter" thing at the end made me laugh hysterically. So, who knows. This actually might be quite enjoyable!

What are your thoughts on this trailer? Had you even heard of this movie until just now?

"The Kids Are All Right" Trailer

Yeah, yeah, yeah...I know everyone and their grandmothers have seen this trailer already, but I'm posting it anyway! Simply because...it looks awesome. And I cannot WAIT for it to come out!!!

"Eat, Pray, Love" Trailer

Not like every movie blogger hasn't chimed in on this, but I figured that I might as well. It looks...interesting? The part of me that had an intense desire to see "Julie and Julia" last year is also wanting to see this really badly. Julia Roberts is just too sweet to resist!!! And Viola Davis - amazing in "Doubt", I'd be interested to see what she does with this.

On the other hand...it looks like a lot of random stuff is going to happen with no real purpose in the end. Will I see it? Perhaps...if nothing else better comes out that same weekend. It looks more like a DVD watch for me.

What do you think? Yes or no on "Eat Pray Love"?
